The high-intensity Dual-Radiant™ UVC Lamp disinfects the air by neutralizing airborne pathogens including bacteria, viruses, and mold. According to the EPA, the combined use of filtration and germicidal UVC light is an effective means of preventing the distribution of airborne viruses in occupied spaces.
With ultraviolet light, micro-watts translate to effectiveness. BioForce Defender sixteen-inch (16”) UVC lamps produce a very high output of 180 microwatts @ 1 meter which is 330% higher than standard UVC lamps on the market. BioForce Defender twelve-inch (12”) UVC lamps produce 150 microwatts @ 1 meter.

Dust is heavy and sits in your carpets, on the floor, and in furniture and most of it never gets to your filter or air cleaner to be removed. With that said the dust that does reach the Elevated Air Air Cleaner will be removed and the smallest of particles that create dust are removed as well. In most cases, you will notice a lower level of dust in your home, but no product will totally eliminate dust.

UV light can be dangerous if you are directly exposed to it like you are outside in direct sunlight. This is why we apply suntan lotion or sun block when we plan on spending extended time in the sun. The Elevated Air Germicidal UV lights are installed into your furnace or duct work to kill or sterilize germs as they pass through the system. You will not have any direct contact with the UV light and they are very safe and beneficial when installed properly.
